The lack of effective participation and continuous immunization of children have been setbacks in Ghana’s health performance. Immunisation coverage in Subin Sub metro amongst children is low so the Second Year of Life (2YL) project launched in collaboration with Resource Link Foundation is supporting the Ashanti Regional Health Directorate and Kumasi Metro Health Directorate to perform a training or social mobilization to increase the uptake of childhood immunization, particularly for Measles, Rubella 2 and Meningitis A.

To achieve these objectives, the following activities were carried out:

• Meeting with the Chiefs, Queen Mothers and Elders
• Meeting with the Zongo chiefs and IMAMS forum
• Church leaders’ forum
• Meeting with market queens and kayayes
