OVERVIEW

Resource Link Foundation (RLF) is a Ghanaian non-governmental organization founded in 1999 and registered in 2001. RLF has a philosophy of maximizing human potential for sustainable development in Ghana.

Since its establishment, RLF has supported a number of development interventions through development education, advisory services, research, training, advocacy and networking and has achieved a credible status as a service-oriented non-governmental organization.

Over the years, RLF has adopted a cross-sectoral approach to poverty reduction, human resource development, gender equity, and sustainable development. RLF believes in the power of collective action and therefore has also worked with a number of development partners.

ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND

Resource Link Foundation (RLF) is a non-profit organization incorporated under companies code, 1963 (Act 179) limited by guarantee. RLF started through the volunteerism of young individuals wanting to help in diverse ways towards the development of deprived and rural communities. Since the early 1990s, volunteers have been actively involved in helping, solicit resources, and share their time, knowledge, energy, information, and enthusiasm.

Over time, RLF has developed deep partnerships and strong rural community development programs, including: preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS, protecting and sustaining the environment, and promoting social development projects.

PHILOSOPHY

Resource Link Foundation is of the view that development can take place and the lives of the less-advantaged improved when the needed resources are available and the necessary skills and techniques applied.  It is based on this rationale that RLF is in existence to help solicit a range of resources for deprived or less-advantaged communities so as to decrease the gap between the ‘haves’ and ‘have-nots’. Currently, RLF is operating in the Brong-Ahafo and Ashanti regions of Ghana.
