Resource Link Foundation-Mundo coorperent women in Bee Keeping project on ending Child Marriage in Banda District.

Addressing the challenges on ignorance and poverty, the RLF team briefed stakeholders on the extent of activities so far to empower selected pro-poor women and children to benefit from the project.

Educated the public on drafted bye-laws to serve as guidelines to promote education and to protect children and prevent child marriage in the communities.

1st phase engaged 487 girls from 21 JHS schools in the district  were identified and 105 mothers selected and trained to setup projects in the bee keeping to raise incomes to support 102 beneficiaries girls as a start to promote girls’ education.

in furtherance to this, beekeeping equipment & accessories including beehives are being procured to support the beneficiary children and mothers. 100 beehives are to be procured out which 50 are completed and the rest under construction.
